The Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid is a hybrid vehicle produced by German automaker Volkswagen. It is a variant of the Volkswagen Jetta, a compact sedan. Introduced in 2013, the Jetta Hybrid is powered by a turbocharged 1.4 TSI gasoline engine which runs on direct injection, combined with an electric motor powered by a 1.1 kWh lithium-ion battery. The Jetta Hybrid can travel up to 44 mph (70 km/h) on electric power alone, and has a total electric range of up to 1.2 miles (2 km). The combined electric/gasoline powertrain produces a total output of 170 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. Top speed is estimated at 124 mph (200 km/h).
