The Toyota Matrix is a compact hatchback car that was produced by the Japanese automaker Toyota from 2002 to 2013. It was a joint effort between Toyota and General Motors, and was mostly sold in North America. It featured a tall five-door hatchback body style, and was based on the Corolla platform. It offered two engine choices, a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder, or a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder. The Matrix was available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants. It was discontinued in 2013 due to declining sales.
