Subaru Forester is a compact crossover SUV (sport utility vehicle) produced by the Japanese automaker Subaru since 1997. The Forester was one of the first modern crossover SUVs, and has been popular for its versatility, roominess, and rugged off-road capability. The Forester is available in naturally-aspirated or turbocharged 4 or 6-cylinder engines and in several trim levels.
