The Saab 9-3 is a compact executive car that was originally developed and manufactured by the Swedish automaker Saab. It was first introduced in 1998 for the 1999 model year. The 9-3 was succeeded by the Saab 9-5 in 2010. The 9-3 is available in both sedan and convertible (cabriolet) body styles, as well as a station wagon (SportCombi) model, and a few limited edition variants. The Saab 9-3 is powered by a range of turbocharged 4-cylinder engines, and was available with both manual and automatic transmissions.
