The Porsche GT3 is a high-performance version of the Porsche 911 sports car. It was introduced in 1999 and is the successor to the Porsche 911 Carrera RS. The GT3 is named after the FIA Group GT3 class in which it competes. It is powered by a naturally aspirated, flat-six engine and features upgrades such as a lighter and stiffer chassis, rear-wheel steering, revised aerodynamics, and larger brakes. It is capable of reaching speeds of up to 196 mph (315 km/h).
