The Pontiac G8 is a rear-wheel-drive sedan produced by General Motors' Pontiac division from 2008 through 2009. The Pontiac G8 was the first full-size Pontiac to be offered since the early 1990s and was available as a sedan or sport-wagon. It was essentially a rebadged version of the Holden Commodore, a rear-wheel-drive car built by General Motors' Australian subsidiary. It was powered by either a 3.6-liter V6 or a 6.0-liter V8 and was available in either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The G8 was offered in two trim levels, GT and GXP, and could be equipped with a variety of options.
