The Oldsmobile Silhouette is a minivan manufactured by General Motors under the Oldsmobile brand between 1989 and 2004. It was the first minivan produced by an American carmaker to feature an electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission. It was also the first minivan to offer a driver's-side sliding door. The Silhouette featured a 3.4 liter V6 engine, with an optional 4.3 liter V6. Safety features included dual airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS), and traction control.
