The Mitsubishi Galant is a long-running mid-size sedan produced by the Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors. The Galant was first introduced in 1969, and was in production for nearly 40 years, from 1969 to 2012. The first models of the Mitsubishi Galant featured a 1.6L engine, but engine size and power output increased with successive models. The latest version of the Galant, the ninth-generation model, which was produced from 2008 to 2012, featured a 3.8L V6 engine with an output of 265 horsepower.
