The Mercury Mariner Hybrid is a small crossover SUV hybrid built and sold by the Ford Motor Company. It was based on the Ford Escape and was produced between 2005 and 2011. It was powered by a combination of a 2.3-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and two electric motors, providing a total of 155 horsepower. It came equipped with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission, four-wheel-drive, and regenerative braking to help increase the vehicle's fuel economy.
