Mercury Cougar is a line of mid-size cars produced and sold by the Ford Motor Company's Mercury division from 1967 to 2002. It was essentially a restyled version of the Ford Mustang. The Cougar line included coupes, convertibles and station wagons, and was sold in the U.S. and Canada. A high-performance version, known as the Cougar XR7, featured a V8 engine and unique styling touches.
