The Mercedes-Benz R-Class is a luxury SUV-styled multi-purpose vehicle that was produced by Mercedes-Benz from 2006 to 2013. It was the first of its kind for Mercedes, combining the interior and amenities of an SUV with the engineering and performance of a sport wagon. Its styling was characterized by a long wheelbase and raised roof, giving the R-Class a spacious cabin with plenty of headroom. The R-Class was offered with a variety of engines, ranging from a diesel V6 to a V8, and featured either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
