The Lexus RX 400h is a full-size, hybrid luxury crossover SUV that was first released in 2005. It was the first production luxury hybrid vehicle sold in North America featuring both a gasoline engine and electric motor. The RX 400h featured a 3.3-liter V6 gasoline engine mated to two electric motor/generators, providing a total system power output of 268 to 295 horsepower, depending on the model year. The RX 400h was discontinued in 2009 and was replaced by the Lexus RX450h.
