The Lexus HS 250h is a hybrid electric luxury sedan that was produced by Toyota's luxury division, Lexus. It was the first Lexus hybrid model and the first dedicated hybrid vehicle from a Japanese luxury automaker. The HS 250h was powered by a 2.4-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). It offered 250 total system horsepower and was capable of achieving 35 mpg fuel economy, making it one of the most fuel-efficient luxury sedans on the market. The vehicle was introduced for the 2010 model year, but production for the HS 250h ceased in 2012.
