The Jaguar XK8 is a two-door grand tourer manufactured by British car maker Jaguar from 1996 to 2005. It was the first generation of a new XJ-series vehicle and was based on the XJS platform. The XK8 was available with either a naturally aspirated or supercharged 4.0 liter Jaguar AJ-V8 engine, and a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission. The XK8 was designed to replace the XJS, and was the basis for the subsequent XK-series of cars. It was available as both a coupe and convertible, and featured a number of luxury amenities, including leather seating, wood trim, and navigation.
