Ford Transit is a range of light commercial vehicles produced by Ford Motor Company since 1965. The first generation of Ford Transit vans were produced from 1965 until 1986, and the current generation has been in production since 2006. The Transit is designed for both cargo and passenger transport and is available in two body styles: a van/wagon and a cutaway/chassis cab. The Transit is offered in a variety of gasoline and diesel engines, as well as in a variety of wheelbase lengths, body styles, and payload sizes.
