The Ford Edge is a midsize crossover SUV manufactured by Ford Motor Company. It was introduced for the 2007 model year. The Edge is based on the Ford CD3 platform shared with the Ford Fusion, Mazda CX-9, and Lincoln MKX. It features a sporty, yet efficient design that is comfortable, spacious and easy to maneuver. It is available with a variety of engines and transmissions, as well as optional all-wheel drive, and is available in both five- and seven-passenger seating configurations.
