The Ferrari California is a grand touring sports car produced by the Italian luxury car manufacturer Ferrari since 2008. The car is a two-door, 2+2 hard top convertible. The California was designed by Pininfarina and introduced at the 2008 Paris Motor Show as a concept car. The production model of the California was unveiled at the 2008 Greater LA Auto Show, with market launch in spring 2009. It is the first front-engined Ferrari with a V8 since the F40, and the California marks a new direction for Ferrari in several ways, including the first ever use of a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission on a Ferrari.
