The Ferrari 456 GT is a grand tourer that was manufactured by Ferrari from 1992 to 2003. It was designed by Pininfarina and was available in a 2+2 or 2-seat coupe, and a 2+2 or 2-seat convertible. The 456 was a significant departure from the earlier front-engined Ferrari's, such as the 365 GT4 2+2, and featured a completely new, rear-mounted 65° V12 engine. The engine was capable of producing up to 442 horsepower, giving the 456 impressive acceleration and a top speed of 188 mph. The 456 GT was replaced by the 612 Scaglietti in 2004.
