It was originally introduced as the Chevrolet Tracker, but was changed to the Chevrolet Tracker 4WD Hardtop in 2003. The vehicle is based on the Suzuki Vitara platform and is powered by either a 2.0L or 2.5L four-cylinder engine. It was available in both 2-door and 4-door configurations, with either a manual or automatic transmission.
