The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is a high-performance grand tourer coupe and spider produced by Italian automaker Alfa Romeo between 2007 and 2010. It was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2003 as a concept car, and as a production model in 2007. The 8C is based on a shortened Maserati Quattroporte chassis, and is powered by a 4.7-litre Ferrari/Maserati V8 engine. The cars feature Ferrari/Maserati-sourced technology, including an all-aluminum chassis, double wishbone suspension, advanced aerodynamics and carbon-ceramic brakes. The 8C Competizione was offered in coupe and spider variants, with a total of 500 vehicles produced.
