The Acura NSX is a mid-engine sports car produced by the Honda-owned luxury car manufacturer Acura since 1990. The NSX was the first mass-produced car to feature an all-aluminum body and engine, an electric drive-by-wire throttle, and Honda's VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) engine technology. Other features include an independent, four-wheel double-wishbone suspension, and four-wheel steering. The NSX is powered by a 3.2-liter V6 engine with a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. The current NSX model is a hybrid driven by three electric motors, one for each front wheel, and a 3.5-liter V6 engine.
