The Ducati 748 is a sport bike motorcycle manufactured by Ducati Motor Holding between 1994 and 2002. It was designed to succeed the earlier Ducati 851, with a smaller displacement and lighter design. The 748 features an 8-valve, 90-degree V-twin engine with four desmodromic valves per cylinder, a six-speed gearbox, and a light steel trellis frame. It was available in various versions, including an entry-level 748S, a more power-oriented 748R, and a higher-spec 748SP.
