The Ducati 1198 is a sports bike manufactured by Italian company Ducati Motor Holding. It was introduced in 2009 as the replacement for the 1098/1098R, and is powered by a 1,198 cc L-twin desmodromic engine producing a maximum power output of 173 hp. The 1198 features the latest in Ducati technology, including a race-derived frame, ride-by-wire throttle, adjustable suspension and advanced electronics.
