The BMW R 850 is a series of classic, air-cooled boxer-twin motorcycles, produced from 1999 through 2006. They were designed to be lightweight, touring bikes with a slightly sporty edge. BMW's R 850 models are powered by either an 850 cc or a 1,000 cc boxer-twin engine and feature shaft drive, a five-speed gearbox, ABS brakes, and adjustable long-travel suspension.
