The BMW K 1300 is a sport-touring motorcycle produced by BMW Motorrad. It was unveiled in 2009 as the successor to the K 1200 S and K 1200 R. The K 1300 S is powered by a 1,293 cc (78.9 cu in) inline-four engine, and is characterized by its superior handling and power delivery. Its maximum output is 175 hp and it is capable of a top speed of nearly 190 mph. The K 1300 R is the more radical and sport-oriented variant, featuring a shortened wheelbase and revised chassis geometry, as well as a more aggressive riding position. The K 1300 R also makes use of BMW’s Dynamic ESA suspension system, which allows the rider to adjust the bike’s suspension settings to suit their personal preference.
